Martha Stewart wedding invitation ad.

Have y’all picked up the new Martha Stewart Weddings?

Whenever mine arrives, I literally walk in from the mail box, drop down right by the front door and devour it cover to cover. Anyways, this winter issue you’ll also see a new wedding invitations ad from Minted.
Aren’t the ornate frame, pink linen and that little jeweled pin at the top lovely? Pink, black and white are such a classic combo. If you’re interested in more pics from the shoot, you can check out my post my post about  the very cool styling session for it last fall with the insanely talented Victoria from SF Girl By Bay.

Real Weddings: Rania and Jeff’s Modern Indianapolis Wedding

Hello readers and fellow Minties! I am quite excited to share this real wedding with all of you, especially for my first ever Minted blog post. Wedding season is starting up again so I thought I’d give all of you brides and grooms, planning for the big day, a little bit of eye candy.  Last summer, I had the great pleasure of working with a very sweet, and oh so classy bride, Rania Abbasi and her amazing mother Deina, on all of Rania’s wedding paper needs.

Rania, positively glowing, on the day of her wedding

Rania chose Cocktail Hour by Ariel Rutland for her invites, one of my favorite Minted wedding invitations. We used the design not just for invitations but for day of wedding accessories as well. This square invite is one of our most modern wedding invitation suites.  In catching back up with Rania, I learned this is just what she was going for.

The Wedding Channel’s Judge’s Pick

It’s fair to say we’ve never had a guest judge in this much agony over having to chose just one design to receive their prize, but we can’t say we’re all that surprised given how many incredible entries we received in this challenge. Since Amy had such a hard time picking, she asked us to list her top five. Of course, only her number one will receive a prize, and all of her other favorites have already been awarded judge’s prizes.

Amy loves that her first choice is a square shape. She found it to be both hip and elegant at the same time. She also really likes that it is a softer design, but stops just short of being feminine. We were really honored to have Amy and the Wedding Channel as guest judges in this challenge and we thank Amy very much for her time and great insight. You can follow Amy and all of her creative ideas regularly on her blog My DIY Wedding Day–she just did a fabulous post about book inspired centerpieces!

Her judge’s prize goes to Cherry Blossom Bliss by Jenifer Martino.

Wedding Invites in Elle Sposa.

Our wedding invitations made it across the globe and alll the way into Italian Elle!

Of the samples we sent over to their editor, she selected Block Print Waves by Bumble Ink…

… and Destination Wedding Invitations by Unless Someone Like You.

But we’re not all that surprised… the Italians have a record of good taste in stationery that’s centuries long!

Fling Wedding Invitation in Southern Weddings

Whether or not you hail from the South, you simply must pick up a copy of the latest issue of Southern Weddings.

It is simply divine and also happens to include our very own Andrea Mentzer’s Fling Wedding Invitation in a breathtaking shoot!

Have green, aqua, and a little teal ever looked so good together?

Congratulations Andrea–I definitely think you should frame this one! And kudos to Emily and all the other great gals at Southern Weddings for producing another masterpiece that I for one will be adding to my permanent magazine collection.

Town & Country Weddings photo shoot.

If you open up the latest issue of Town & Country Weddings, which hit newsstands yesterday, you’ll find this beautiful new Minted ad.

It is the first in a series of ads styled by famous bloggers. We were delighted to work with Victoria Smith of the always fascinating SF Girl by Bay. We have long marveled at how Victoria is able to find the the most unique and beautiful things and put them all together in an even more interesting way, which is exactly what she did for our shoot.

The Shoot was masterminded by these four lovely ladies: Victoria Smith, photo assistant Amber McKee, photographer Eva Kolenko, and designer Suzanne Shade.

The idea behind the shoot was to include Minted’s invites in a real life inspiration board collage. It’s what we think somebody as trendy as Victoria has as her personal bulletin board, without even trying!

In the end, the winning combination featured the Social Type‘s Love Struck and Annie Clark‘s Apple Blossom. Congratulations ladies on an excellent team effort! The ad is stunning and will hopefully let lots of new brides know about our great wedding offerings.

it was me, then the photo assistant, eva kolenko (the photogrpaher), and suzanne.  i don’t know the photo assistant’s name, but will ask suzanne.

Katie & Mike: A Minted wedding from start to finish!

We have a new little surprise this afternoon… we thought it would be fun for you to see a Minted couple through their wedding from start to finish.

Katie and Mike are our first couple in what will hopefully be a long tradition. Here is their Nostalgia Save the Date card by Emily Ranneby.

Isn’t the barn door that Katie and Mike took their engagement shoot against incredible? I also think black and white looks incredibly classy with this design. And what a good looking couple.

Their choice of Guess What?’s Contemporary Chic wedding invitation was perfect for their seaside wedding in East Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Inspiration Boards: Sundance Wildflowers

On this nice summer day, let’s take a little break from the countdown to enjoy J. Bartyn‘s Sundance Wildflowers Wedding Invitation.
Clockwise from upper left: Cake, Shoes, Bridesmaid, Pellegrino, Flowers, Bride & Groom

Isn’t there something just so perfectly appealing about getting married in a huge field? Doesn’t it seem to just make sense that you’d want all that open space around you as you take that leap of faith? I’ve always loved the idea of a long, farmhouse table in the field with dozens of people seating at benches alongside it. And I think the flowers, the Pellegrino, the little veil, that perfect light that comes only at dusk… it all just goes so well with the watercolor flowers. Simply dreamy.
