Minted invites you to the Royal Wedding!

Aren’t we all sitting around wishing the Queen had extended an invite to us for the Royal Wedding?

My new goal in life is to get invited to Harry’s!

Luckily I’m watching with six of my girlfriends and a little champers… like many a Minted customer!

Cook Up Some Bridal Shower Inspiration

Bridal Shower season is in full bloom and we thought we’d share these beautiful and whimsical bridal shower inspiration boards featuring two top scoring bridal shower invitation designs from our February Showers Challenge. Brought to you by the lovely ladies from The Collection Event Studio

Hello fellow paper lovers!

We love a good style board when we see one. Here in the studio, we find inspiration in magazines, books, design blogs, and ultimately, the mash-up of images in style boards across the web. We were super happy to put our stamp on two style boards for Minted! The first invite, Shower of Flowers, is simply pretty! Think soft, feminine, antique romance. We instantly pictured a tea party setting with pastel macaroons, garden roses and scallop-edged china. We couldn’t resist throwing in a few floral and plaid bow ties, too.

Barn Party! Wedding Inspiration Board

We are very excited to have Megan + Emily guest blog for us today. Megan + Emily of Enjoy Events Co. are wedding event planners who definitely have a penchant for cute wedding inspiration boards and ideas.

Hi Minted readers!

We – Megan + Emily of Enjoy Events Co. – are so thrilled to be guest posting over here at Minted today.  We have a very sweet inspiration board to share with you all.  We couldn’t think of anything more appropriate than using an inspiration board that we created around one of our couple’s barn party! wedding invitations.  We love to create beginning concepts for design (including color, texture and physical elements) around wedding invitations because we feel that it’s the first glimpse that your guests get into what your wedding day will feel like.  If the day is a reflection of that first piece then we are thrilled!

April! Tis the Time to Recycle!

There are a lot of things to like about April. For one, the weather gets nicer and winter blues go away. Even when April showers do come along, you know they will bring May flowers. You get to start out the month playing clever pranks on people. (Didn’t you love Google’s clever play with Helvetica?) It is the month to gorge yourself with Peeps and chocolate bunnies (and participate in a Peeps diorama contest if you’re so inclined). April is also the month Minted celebrates its anniversary! Just when you thought April couldn’t get more awesome, we’re reminded that April is also Earth Month!

We are all paper lovers here at Minted, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be eco-friendly. Minted offers the option to print all your favorite invitation and stationery designs on 100% recycled paper, so you never have to sacrifice on style. Are you a bride to be? Shop Minted’s eco-friendly wedding invitations for a wide ranging assortment of unique designs. Are you expecting a newborn soon? Show off your new arrival with eco-friendly baby announcements or baby shower invitations.

Souvenir suitcase.

Sometimes things are just meant to be! I recently moved to Hong Kong (where Minted has been nice enough to let me continue to work remotely). Soon after we moved here, I met Mitra who had moved here literally the week after her wedding back in Los Angeles, which was just featured on Style Me Pretty. (Can you imagine planning both a wedding and a trans-continental move?!) In light of their upcoming move, they had people sign luggage tag stickers instead of signing a guest book. What a great idea!

So when Mitra was looking for thank yous, Minted had literally the perfect ones for her: Souvenir Suitcase by Hoodoos & Pancakes.
Seriously, how perfect is that?!

Guest Judge’s Awards: February Showers

We were beyond thrilled to have three of the biggest names in the blogosphere guest judge our February Showers Challenge. I’ve had the great privilege of meeting them all in person and let me just say that they are the classiest, wittiest, prettiest, sweetest, most fun ladies ever. And their taste is impeccable, as their very popular blogs attest to, so I know you’re as excited as I am to hear which designs caught their eye in the challenge and why they liked them… so without further ado:

Erin Loechner from Design for Mankind chose couple’s recipe by Ana Gonzalez for her award.

“For me, this design won by a landslide. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s incredibly well thought-out. Most invitations are promptly recycled after the event, but this design will be long-treasured by the lucky couple in the form of a recipe card. Genius, and what a memory for the bride and groom!”

Anne-Marie’s birth announcement.

Anne-Marie of the wonderfully inspirational wedding blog Perfect Bound has been one of Minted’s earliest supporters. And so we were just thrilled when we heard of the birth of her first son: Harrison James. We were equally thrilled when she decided to go with a Minted birth announcement.

Like many parents, it was hard for Anne-Marie to decide on the right picture and design combination. But in the end she went with Vintage by Oscar & Emma (above). Don’t you agree that this picture is just unbelievable? The light on his hand, the way his toes are stretched back, the profile of his spikey hair, the texture of the muslin, and the cuddliness of the blanket. He is channeling Moses! I LOVE that it’s a real basket AND that the text fits within it.
