DIY Grocery Store Bridal Bouquet

By Kelli Hall, Minted Event Stylist

diy grocery store bouquet I love the idea of a bride and her closest friends gathered on the morning of her wedding day, binding blooms and bonding over a creative project. In this spirit, making your own bouquet requires something of a laissez-faire approach, resulting in a bouquet that can take on a more personal and chic feel. To embrace this idea, I set out to the grocery store in a blind hunt for flowers that could be used to craft a pretty nosegay, worthy of a bride’s big day. I learned that, if you’re open and flexible, a diy bridal bouquet using supermarket flowers is surprisingly doable.

Nothing says festive like the addition of bright colorful tassels. They are easy to make and can instantly turn a simple bag into an awesome wedding favor, with a hint of cha-cha. Make the tassels in bunches (with the help of your bridesmaids) and use them to adorn other details of your special day for a festive and fun way to say, “I do”.

Forest Green and Pink Wedding Inspiration

By Lauren Saylor of A Fabulous Fete

green and pink weeding

Is it really already September? And you know what that means, we are moving away from the super bright palettes to more saturated and fall inspired tones. Now, i’m not a huge fan of the brown and gold that comes to mind when we think fall. Not all color should be thrown in the trash once we get to the cooler months. I think we can still play with color, but use more saturated tones, and definitely skip the neon. With that said, here is one of my favorite color palettes for fall, forest green and pink. I love that the green is very mellow and grounding, but you can still have fun with the pops of pink.

A Summer Wedding Shower

By Kelli Hall, a Minted Community Designer

I recently hosted a summer wedding shower for a close friend. The event drew inspiration from the bride’s love of soft blush tones, her romantic style and the smallest hint of edgy black for good measure. And, since she’s a writer, I couldn’t resist throwing in some typographic touches. Check it out for all the details, along with a simple guide for creating your own.
