Calendars in Traditional Home.

Our calendars, which launched just last fall, were featured in Traditional Home’s February issue. (Love the turquoise pop on this month’s cover by the way.)
It’s not too late in the year to go for a fun and festive calendar! After all, the New Year has just begun in China.

Billboard Calendar in Martha Stewart.

We were beyond thrilled when Martha Stewart chose Emily Potts’s incredible Billboard Calendar to feature in her first ever holiday gift guide.

We loved so many things in the gift guide by the way…

Doesn’t her calendar look fantastic on the page?

You just cannot believe the labor of love this is! Check out the incredible hand drawn details on every page.

And not just the cover! You can go to the theater… Or take the subway!

Or how about a ball game?

And why not cozy up in a ski lodge at the end of the year?!

Emily this is truly a masterpiece… as soon as our team saw the first page we literally lost our minds! All of the little hand drawn details are just incredible. They bring us back to a bygone era and are an incredible way to showcase your family’s photos. Congratulations on the “Martha Seal of Approval” — a giant accomplishment.

Wedding Invites in Elle Sposa.

Our wedding invitations made it across the globe and alll the way into Italian Elle!

Of the samples we sent over to their editor, she selected Block Print Waves by Bumble Ink…

… and Destination Wedding Invitations by Unless Someone Like You.

But we’re not all that surprised… the Italians have a record of good taste in stationery that’s centuries long!

InStyle’s ‘Best of the Web’ Feature.

We were just thrilled to open up the latest InStyle and find Minted inside! I am always working hard to pitch editors to spread the word about our great community of indie designers.

By the way, how beautiful is Rachel McAdams?! She looks stunning in their feature.

The whole idea for the package was genius–they did a massive round-up of the best places to shop online. So helpful right before the holidays.

I must say, I also thought the whole package was beautiful–such great layouts! Love their choice of fonts and how they tied it all together with their little mouse cursive.

And a close-up:

The editors featured Marabou‘s Tree Design.

And Andres Montaño‘s Shabby She.

What great publicity for these talented designers!!

Another awesome part of the package was a handy sheet listing out all the websites for you to tear out and set next to your laptop the next time you’re surfing the web or maybe need a distraction at work!

Thank you InStyle for including us!

What happens when you win a judge’s prize.

Christmas has come early at Minted and for Oscar+Emma, who won Woman’s Day Editor-in-Chief Elizabeth Mayhew‘s special judge’s prize. Her Nordic Snowflake design was featured in a full page of Woman’s Day’s Special Christmas issue, on newsstands from September through Christmas.

Doesn’t her stunning design, which also won the judge’s prize from design work life and won third prize as voted by the community, look incredible?! I love the coordinating envelope liner–it’s the epitome of Scandinavian chic! Elizabeth is literally the authority on stationery so Karly should be quite honored! She has one, if not the, most impressive stationery collections I’ve ever seen! The New York Times even featured her stationery armoire in their Lettered Set article.

Woman’s Day has a circulation of 3,800,000, and claims a readership of more than 22 million with 15 issues a year so this page is sure to let lots of families know about Minted and Karly’s great work this holiday season! It’s really a great special issue, so be sure to pick up a copy. My personal favorite is the last page, which is all about the importance of writing a thank you note. There’s also a great 9 decades of Christmas cookie feature and some really creative gift wrapping ideas.

Thank you Elizabeth and Woman’s Day and congratulations Karly, who has had lots of great news as of late. She also just welcomed her first daughter Maeve Irene on September 13th!

Fling Wedding Invitation in Southern Weddings

Whether or not you hail from the South, you simply must pick up a copy of the latest issue of Southern Weddings.

It is simply divine and also happens to include our very own Andrea Mentzer’s Fling Wedding Invitation in a breathtaking shoot!

Have green, aqua, and a little teal ever looked so good together?

Congratulations Andrea–I definitely think you should frame this one! And kudos to Emily and all the other great gals at Southern Weddings for producing another masterpiece that I for one will be adding to my permanent magazine collection.

Women’s Initiative Entrepreneur of the Year Award Ceremony

If you are in the Bay Area and free on Tuesday, October 12th we can’t think of a better way to spend a night than celebrating great female entrepreneurs. So we hope you’ll consider attending the Woman’s Initiative Entrepreneur of the Year Award Ceremony, where our very own Mariam Naficy will be honored alongside 12 other very talented ladies. She would very much look forward to celebrating with you!

Tickets are $75. The event is being held at the Julia Morgan Ballroom, which is really a beautiful old-world San Francisco space with beautiful wood paneling and great views. The ticket price includes wine, heavy apps, and dessert–but most importantly this is a very worthwhile initiative that supports micro-loans to low-income women entrepreneurs and all the proceeds benefit the initiative. And really, what could be a better cause? If the 12th doesn’t work for you, take a look at additional dates in surrounding Bay Area communities. Congratulations again to Mariam and all of the other very talented women with whom she shares this honor. Cheers, cheers!!

Town & Country Weddings photo shoot.

If you open up the latest issue of Town & Country Weddings, which hit newsstands yesterday, you’ll find this beautiful new Minted ad.

It is the first in a series of ads styled by famous bloggers. We were delighted to work with Victoria Smith of the always fascinating SF Girl by Bay. We have long marveled at how Victoria is able to find the the most unique and beautiful things and put them all together in an even more interesting way, which is exactly what she did for our shoot.

The Shoot was masterminded by these four lovely ladies: Victoria Smith, photo assistant Amber McKee, photographer Eva Kolenko, and designer Suzanne Shade.

The idea behind the shoot was to include Minted’s invites in a real life inspiration board collage. It’s what we think somebody as trendy as Victoria has as her personal bulletin board, without even trying!

In the end, the winning combination featured the Social Type‘s Love Struck and Annie Clark‘s Apple Blossom. Congratulations ladies on an excellent team effort! The ad is stunning and will hopefully let lots of new brides know about our great wedding offerings.

it was me, then the photo assistant, eva kolenko (the photogrpaher), and suzanne.  i don’t know the photo assistant’s name, but will ask suzanne.
