We were just thrilled to open up the latest InStyle and find Minted inside! I am always working hard to pitch editors to spread the word about our great community of indie designers.
The whole idea for the package was genius–they did a massive round-up of the best places to shop online. So helpful right before the holidays.
I must say, I also thought the whole package was beautiful–such great layouts! Love their choice of fonts and how they tied it all together with their little mouse cursive.
What great publicity for these talented designers!!
Another awesome part of the package was a handy sheet listing out all the websites for you to tear out and set next to your laptop the next time you’re surfing the web or maybe need a distraction at work!5 COMMENTS
Christmas has come early at Minted and for Oscar+Emma, who won Woman’s Day Editor-in-Chief Elizabeth Mayhew‘s special judge’s prize. Her Nordic Snowflake design was featured in a full page of Woman’s Day’s Special Christmas issue, on newsstands from September through Christmas.
Doesn’t her stunning design, which also won the judge’s prize from design work life and won third prize as voted by the community, look incredible?! I love the coordinating envelope liner–it’s the epitome of Scandinavian chic! Elizabeth is literally the authority on stationery so Karly should be quite honored! She has one, if not the, most impressive stationery collections I’ve ever seen! The New York Times even featured her stationery armoire in their Lettered Set article.
Woman’s Day has a circulation of 3,800,000, and claims a readership of more than 22 million with 15 issues a year so this page is sure to let lots of families know about Minted and Karly’s great work this holiday season! It’s really a great special issue, so be sure to pick up a copy. My personal favorite is the last page, which is all about the importance of writing a thank you note. There’s also a great 9 decades of Christmas cookie feature and some really creative gift wrapping ideas.

The ticket price includes wine, heavy apps, and dessert–but most importantly this is a very worthwhile initiative that supports micro-loans to low-income women entrepreneurs and all the proceeds benefit the initiative. If you open up the latest issue of Town & Country Weddings, which hit newsstands yesterday, you’ll find this beautiful new Minted ad.
It is the first in a series of ads styled by famous bloggers. We were delighted to work with Victoria Smith of the always fascinating SF Girl by Bay. We have long marveled at how Victoria is able to find the the most unique and beautiful things and put them all together in an even more interesting way, which is exactly what she did for our shoot.
The idea behind the shoot was to include Minted’s invites in a real life inspiration board collage. It’s what we think somebody as trendy as Victoria has as her personal bulletin board, without even trying!
In the end, the winning combination featured the Social Type‘s Love Struck and Annie Clark‘s Apple Blossom. Congratulations ladies on an excellent team effort! The ad is stunning and will hopefully let lots of new brides know about our great wedding offerings.
