Story Time Bunting

By Rachael of Penelope and Pip

Whenever I look after my nieces and nephews, one of my favorite parts of the night is always the bedtime book. After reading the same books over and over however, (yes Spot, I can see you jump!), I found that making up stories is also lots of fun. With any story though you need a starting point and this fun and easy fabric bunting will kick start your imagination every time. After all, we sometimes need a little bit of help being creative and clever after a long day at work!

The best part is that it only takes five minutes to make so you can swap out these characters for others at any time. You can use animals or anything else you can find on big print fabric – your local fabric shop will have a great selection to choose from.

Embroidered Leather Cuffs

By Rachael of Penelope and Pip

I’m so excited to be launching my column here on Julep with this quick and easy leather cuff. With the holiday season fast approaching I have been looking for ways I can create handmade gifts for all my gal pals and this beautiful cuff is my favorite idea so far. Geometric string art is being pinned from everywhere at the moment which made me think how great it would be to carry your own little piece of art on your arm!

Painted Acorn Garland

By Jenny Batt of Hank and Hunt

As much as I love the leaves when they change colors and fall in the breeze, I like a bit more color when I decorate for any season. I wanted to add a pop of color when I made this super simple fall garland. acorngarland Who says pink can’t be a Thanksgiving color? What is great, is that these little wonders can stay up clear through to the New Year in their new shades, I know they will be at our house. You can even have the kids help paint them, I love a good family craft session.
