By Melissa of Lulu the Baker

seasonal soirees strawberry

Spring is here! Hooray, hooray! The color and sunshine of Spring are a most welcome change from the cold grey of winter. Flowers are blooming, the world is turning green, life is sprouting up through cracks in the pavement and pushing its way through the last vestiges of frost and snow. Soon enough, it will be time once again to take to backyards and parks and gardens to celebrate occasions big and small.
Nothing is quite as sweet in Springtime as fresh, ruby-colored Strawberries! These Strawberry Cheesecake Wonton Bites are effortlessly elegant and additively delicious. They’d look lovely on a Spring wedding dessert table or at a bridal shower brunch.

Nursery Inspiration

By Minted community designer Nikkol Christiansen
One  of my favorite rooms to design and decorate has always been my nursery.  Each time we welcomed a new baby into our family, I got to design a room just for my newest little one.  I’ve designed a few different nurseries now, each one inspired by a simple item that I fell in love with.  Like this sweet “Good Day For A Walk” print, the happy colors and simple shapes make it a perfect inspiration piece for a nursery.  Give yourself a neutral base, such as white or light grey walls, and add a modern grey crib to start.  Bring a little life to your room by adding a splash of color in the rocking chair and the mobile.  Repeating the circular pattern from the print in the throw pillow brings continuity and calms the eye.  A handmade toy is always a lovely touch, and is sure to become a good friend to your little one.

With golden leaves and cool mornings popping up with regularity, I don’t think we can deny it any longer: our beloved Summer is coming to an end! Luckily, the end of Summer also means bumper crops of fresh produce from the garden and orchard, and beautiful evenings with pleasant temperatures and lingering twilight. This little bridge between Summer and Fall is the perfect time to host a farm-fresh backyard soiree. Pick a pretty invitation, decorate with classic globe lights and baskets of produce, and set up long tables in the yard for friends to enjoy a fresh, simple meal together to celebrate the end of another beautiful season…

Fairy Twig Wand Party Favors

By Lindsey of Unforgettable Impressions

I have always been a huge fan of the imagination. As a child I often times would be found chatting away to my imaginary friend while playing dolls and having tea parties. There is something just so special about children and their imaginations. Now that I am a mom I so want to encourage my children to use their special imaginations on a daily basis and to live in their own sweet little worlds.

I love to make fun projects that I can create and share with my kids and these adorable Fairy Twig Wands are certainly one of those sweet projects. You can have your children help you collect the twigs for this project and pick out the ribbon too! Your little princess will love helping make such a special toy that she then can use again and again for all of her royal gatherings!
They also make wonderful little party favors and decorations for any little fairy party and look adorable set out on a table in a vase. You can make them in any color combination to match your event or decor…
