Recipe: Peanut Butter Fondue

The holidays are just around the corner and that means lots of great opportunities for entertaining. My trick is to have a few tasty treats prepared beforehand so that they’re ready to go, like this twist on traditional chocolate fondue. Peanut butter is always a crowd pleaser, and this sauce tastes like liquid peanut butter fudge. Best of all, the peanut butter fondue can be made up to two weeks ahead and stored in the fridge, so once your party guests arrive, all you need to do is heat and serve.

Add a little fright to your dinner table with a spooky Halloween centerpiece that’s totally, deliciously edible. If you’re having friends over for a Halloween party, your guests can nibble on this sinister spread of dark plums, grapes, and berries and a creepy-crawly cheese ball that combines blue cheese, dates, and pistachios. I displayed the centerpiece on my favorite mint-green milk glass cake stand. It’s a fun and unexpected color palette for Halloween and proves that the holiday can be spooky and sophisticated.
