New Year Cards and Cocktail Recipes

Rosemary French 75

Ready for a refresh? Ideal for entertaining, the Rosemary French 75 is a classic crowd pleaser. Recipe paired with Bubbly New Year Card by GeekInc Design. To make this cocktail, you’ll need:

  • 3 oz Champagne
  • 1 1/2 oz Gin
  • 1/2 oz Lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup
  • Rosemary Sprig Garnish

Add together all ingredients, but the champagne into a shaker with ice. Shake and stain into a flute. Top with champagne and stir. Garnish with rosemary sprig.

 Rosemary Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 medium rosemary sprigs

Stir together sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and add the rosemary sprigs and stir. Remove from heat, and let stand 1 hour or until cool. Pour liquid through a fine mesh strainer into an airtight container, and discard rosemary sprigs. Syrup can be stored in the refrigerator up to 1 month.

Sparkling Planters Punch

Apéritifs admirers looking to pack a punch into their New Year celebrations should look no further. This Planter’s Punch is a throwback to spicy summer soirees of days past and a forward glance to sweet times ahead. Recipe paired with Jenna Cowsert’s Bursts and Swirls New Year Card. To make this cocktail, you’ll need:

  • 1 1/2 oz dark aged rum
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 2 oz fresh pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon
  • 1/4 oz grenadine
  • 1 oz champagne
  • dash bitters
  • mint sprig garnish

Add all, but champagne and mint into a shaker with ice. Shake and stain into a goblet or Collins glass with crushed ice. Top with champagne and stir. Garnish with mint sprig.

Lillet & Bubbly

A Lillet bit of bubbly anyone? Pop, clink and fizz this New Year with the Lillet Bubbly, a champagne-based cocktail with tasty twist. Recipe paired with GeekInk Design’s Cheers To New Year Card. To make this drink, you’ll need:

  • 4 oz Champagne
  • 1/2 oz Lillet blanc
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice

Add all, but the champagne into a shaker with ice. Shake and stain into a coupe glass or flute. Top with champagne and stir. Garnish with lemon twist.
