We’re excited to announce the special prize winners from our first-ever drawing-focused art challenge! We were inspired by some of the beautiful sketches and drawings we’ve seen submitted to recent challenges, and we wanted to have more represented in the Minted collection. From Da Vinci and Van Gogh to contemporary artist David Hockney, drawings have played an integral part in their art processes. Armenian American painter Arshile Gorky said, “Drawing is the basis of art. A bad painter cannot draw. But one who draws well can always paint.” Congratulations to all the winners from our Drawing & Sketching Art Challenge!
