Looking for a simple, crowd-pleasing cocktail recipe to serve throughout the holiday season? Try this refreshing spin on a classic! It’s a cinch to make since it only requires two ingredients: dark rum and ginger beer. My friend introduced me to this cocktail during a weekend getaway to the Oregon coast and that’s all she wrote! I’ve been mixing this deliciously easy-drinking recipe ever since. (Fun fact: The original Bermudian method from 1800s calls for Gosling’s black rum and includes a great seafaring story.)
Dark and Stormy Cocktail
Makes one cocktail
• 2 ounces dark rum (such as Kraken Spiced Rum)
• 3 ounces ginger beer (such as Bundaberg Ginger Beer)
• ½ ounce fresh lime juice (preferably organic)
Place several ice cubes in a glass. Pour lime juice, followed by ginger beer. Top with dark rum; add a lime wedge and gently stir.
