When it comes to weddings, it’s not all about the big day! We asked the Minted Community to create create unique, modern invitations for all the pre-wedding events: Bridal Showers, Engagement Parties and Rehearsal Dinners. We were looking for designs to suit every type of event, from casual to traditional, and Minted designers delivered! The winning designs below each stood out in one of our special prize categories. Congratulations, winners!
Fun and Casual Award for the best informal, whimsical or fun rehearsal dinner or engagement party invitation
“Stamped on Kraft” by Petite Papier
Erin’s engagement party invitation gets our stamp of approval! The justified copy in conjunction with the simple red, white, and kraft color palette is bold and eye-catching, and the “Let’s” stamped in script in the center adds the perfect hint of whimsy.

Cheers to Us! Award for the best celebratory engagement party invitation
“Pop the Cork” by Laura Bolter Design
Laura wows us yet again with her stunning hand-lettering with “Pop the Cork”. We love how the lettering and the flourishes around the cork feel so festive, almost looking like fireworks against the dark background.

Fine Dining Award for the best classic and sophisticated rehearsal dinner invitation done in a modern way
“Royale” by Laura Hankins
We love the understated sophistication of “Royale.” Laura gives the design plenty of breathing room, really letting the gorgeous typography shine. The die-cut shape perfectly echoes the swashes’ curves.

It Takes Two Award for the best couple’s shower invitation
“Bar Cart” by Lauren Chism
Now this is a shower we can see the guys and gals both getting excited about! Lauren combines a simple black and white color palette, distressed lettering, and a splash of retro charm to create an invitation that’s both oh so chic and not too feminine.

Text with a Twist Award for the best design that puts the names or other customizable text on a curvilinear path
“Delightful” by Sarah Brown
Sarah’s “Delightful” bridal shower invitation is just that! The handwritten look of the typography and the asymmetrical banner give the design a personal feel, and the filigree-like ornaments add a great vintage touch.

Over the Top Pretty Award for a bridal shower invitation that is just that
“Beautiful Bouquet” by Phrosné Ras
Phrosné has a knack for gorgeous florals, and “Beautiful Bouquet” is no exception! From the hand-drawn frame to the detailed leaves to the soft and refined color palette, every detail comes together to stunning effect.

Picture Perfect Award for the best invitation featuring a photo
“Classic photography” by Four Wet Feet Design
We love Shannon’s classic, elegant take on the photo invitation. The touch of gold hints at luxury, while the slightly askew photos add a touch of softness without detracting from the structure of the design.

Best Shape Award for the best design using one of Minted’s signature shapes
“Glamorous” by lena barakat
Lena lets the couple’s names really shine in “Glamorous.” The central diamond’s clean, striking lines are beautifully offset by the subtle curves of the die-cut shape. The sophisticated black background shows off the clean typography and spare layout.

Newbie Award for the best design from a first-time entrant
“Robin’s Garden Couple Shower” by Irene Chan
Irene knocked it out of the park in her first challenge with these adorable robins. We just can’t get enough of that top hat, bow tie, and floral wreath! We especially love how the robins’ feathers are reminiscent of wood grain, adding to the design’s rustic feel.
