By Melanie of You Are My Fave
Valentine’s Day is not on my list of favorite holidays but it is a fun one to craft for. This oversized message can be hung the night before to surprise your Valentine when they wake up in the morning. It would certainly make my day a good one.
Supplies:
– roll of white poster paper or a piece of poster board
– foam hearts (or homemade heart potato stamps)
– pencils
– hot glue
– acrylic paints in a variety of colors
– paper plates
– marker
Step one: attach foam heart to the end of a pencil with hot glue to create your stamp. I created one for each color of paint.
Step two: put all the paint colors on separate paper plates and spread out a bit for dipping.
Step three: stamp the heart into the paint (blotting as necessary) then onto the paper, alternating colors. Let dry.
Step four: add message to the bottom with marker.
Step five: hang as a surprise for your Valentine.
As you can see, mine turned out imperfect but that’s the beauty of handmade. Right?
