watercolor monogram favor boxes

By Melanie Blodgett of You Are My Fave

I love ending a party on a high note with a great favor but sometimes store bought packaging can be so ho-hum. Here’s a really quick way to customize and beautify a simple white box that can be filled with anything from a set of crayons to a sweet treat. The watercolor finish would blend well with an art party theme.

Supplies:
– small white cardboard boxes
vinyl stick on letters (you can find these at any office supply store)
– watercolor paints & brush

Step One: Assemble box and adhere vinyl letter to the top.

Step Two: Paint a watercolor wash over the entire top of the box and let dry.

Step Three: Peel off vinyl letter.

Step Four: Fill box with a treat and set out for party guests.
