If you’re planning a spring or summer wedding these pretty, glittery bottles filled with a fresh flower and an attached escort card would be a lovely DIY detail.
Gold accents with pastel flowers are a great way to combine two of this season’s wedding trends and after your wedding you’ll have a beautiful collection of cute vases for your new home.
Here’s how to make them…
- Escort card (we made some from kraft paper)
- Painters tape
- Sponge brush
For the bottles we used a combination of used spice containers we collected, however, small bottles can be found at your local craft or dollar store.
Step 1: Wrap a strip of painters tape around the bottle, about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom.
Step 2: Using your sponge, apply glue to the bottom part of the bottle.
Step 3: Pour your glitter over the glue and shake your bottle a few times to remove the excess glitter. Make sure you have a clean piece of paper underneath to catch the excess glitter. You can pour that back in the bottle to use again.
Step 4: While your glitter is drying, tie your escort card to your flower with the twine
Step 5: Pop your flower into the bottle and then tie string around the top of the bottle. Make one for each guest and then hang them at the entrance to your reception venue to make a pretty garden in the air.
If you didn’t want to hang your little bottles, they would just a beautiful sitting on a table too.
