Hi, it does get lost a bit, maybe edit the background colour a bit?

I agree, it's a bit lost in the background. You could totally minimize the background and not lose the cool design. Maybe do a white background and keep squiggles?

I think "groovy" is a little hard to read, and I would consider making "groovy" bigger and having the left side of the text extent more so that the word is more centered. Fun idea!! :)

I like the font but it looks like a "shadow" version-too fat and filled in. I would lower the KID down into the yellow and blue rick rack. I would angle the GROOVY like you have it but fill up the area (like it's about to BURST like a balloon!) I'd make the font bigger to fill more space on every word. Your orange and red(?) rick rack looks too close in colour--I'd change the orange to a pinky bubble gum shade. I'd shadow GROOVY with the blue or leave the shadow you have and change letters to blue. I love the design, good luck with the challenge.
