Do you think a succulent lover would also be a glitter lover? (I like the shimmer from the foil but succulents might not = sparkle.)

I think glitter is fine. Actually I think you do not need the repeated happy birthday written in the back. Just have the light purple background or add one more succulent.

Nice watercolor flowers! I like the idea of the happy birthday background, but maybe a more whimsical font and jagged edges instead of a left alignment.
