I think the idea is there but it needs some refinement. My suggestions - Make all the text/illustrations white. Nix the stripes on the left. replace with a solid bg color like pool water blue. Make the couple names navy blue and the + in red for accent. Perhaps thin out the lines between the text. I really do like the detail you put into the design but there's so much competing for attention as-is.

Thanks Katie and design lotus! Took on board your critique, design lotus ... I see what you mean about the competition for attention and whatnot. I was a bit iffy about the stripes to begin with, but thought I'd post it up anyway to get a bit of feedback. In the meantime, I've changed it up. Went with a yellow '+' instead as the red kind of reminded me of paramedics for some reason. An improvement upon the last? Any other thoughts anyone?
