About the Design

comments from Amelia:

The inspiration was driven by the color of the ocean in the Carribean (pale seafoam green and aqua). The rolling waves have a fun dotted border that makes it unique and the deep chocolate brown background is unexpected. A navy blue background would also work well with this design.

I think this is so playful and fun. I would make the names and anchor a different color to make them stand out.

I agree with Anne--I love the playful quality, and want to wallpaper my bedroom with those waves. I also think that the anchor and text all run together. Maybe consider a different font for the non-names text?

LOL! I laughed so hard when I read your comment Miya! And thanks for the great feedback. I changed the color of the text and the anchor to white. I also increased the size and improved the spacing. I thought the font was good because it has a nice swoop at the end of each letter and mimics the rolling waves which plays on the theme.

i love these waves, but something about the combination of the font used and the playful waves makes this look a little bit more like a birth announcement than a wedding invitation. perhaps a sans serif font for the info (keeping the names as is) might help a touch?

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I changed the font to Helvetica Neue - a nice clean font and kept the namesin that swoopy font to mimic the rolling waves.
