It is an interesting idea, I like the bold contrast but the woman's arm looks weird to me.

I think this done as a pencil drawing would be more visually interesting.

Interesting concept, I wish the shadow was pushed more to the right, with some additional texturing (maybe some painterly washes of neutral colors) to the background.

oooooo this is interesting----I agree with Nikki that it would be cool to see as a drawing.....I also wonder what it would look like with the shadow lightened up and more elongated?
