I think it's cool. Like the suggestion of an eye, without it being an eye. I think it needs some color contrast, however.

love the colors. not sure if the black isn't too dominant with the pastels though. Great composition

Do the colors and shapes represent certain elements of ballet?

I really like this, but I see a flamingo, which is coo.

I honestly see a close up of a powder puff girl... I know that probably sounds strange. The colors make me think of 1950s interior design. I'm curious if your series connected the image into one big image or is unique to each one? It's always a good thing when you get people talking. Nice work!

Hi everyone! Thank you for your comments ans insights. For those who asked me, I was inspired to create this series by beautiful photos of ballerinas and wanted to take it to the most abstract and minimalist shapes I could. I can’t attach the photos to show you, not sure why(I’m on the ipad). I’ll leave a link to them if you’re curious: https://goo.gl/iFjrNS (the fourth image), https://goo.gl/PZ3Jzk

I love the idea of abstractions of ballerinas, but I think the colors and the level of abstraction make the artwork feel a little too cartoony. I think maybe a more simplified black and white color palette and playing with composition a bit might do the piece more justice?

Love the colors and bold shapes. Not getting ballerina, looks like a close up flamingo.

This has a very 80's "Miami Vice" feel to me. The stark, sharp lines do not say to me, "ballerina", nor anything human but it's a fun piece. Nice for large format, strong visual.
