comments from Brittany:

I recreated a favorite church of mine in the country side and created a simple, but elegant typographic solution to accompany it. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for all the comments, guys! I sized down everything and lightened the heaviness of the title. I went through and changed the "daughter" to son and child to see if those would look good and they do. I then left aligned the bottom text so it can be more easily customized. I also added a bit of heaviness to certain parts of the editable bottom text for a bit of variety. I did want to stick with a single san serif font as I believe it complements the very clean and simple design of the church.

I love the illustration and the design layout! Just I think that the justify alignment can be broken when customizing the text and maybe you need to reduce the size a little bit to allow more characters?

The black text seems a bit too big to me. I do love the illustration and layout!

I like it and it's simple. You can definitely read it and it's important. I like lager text. Smaller text is hard to read in my opinion. Here everyone uses tiny text. Ohh my eyes.

The word confirmation seems a little scary to me, can't put in to words why, hope it helps.

A soft font (script and non script) may lighten up the whole aura of the design.

The spacing between the first line below the name ("affirms her faith...") and the next line looks awkward. At first glance it looks like a mistake and is supposed to have the same spacing as below, however on second glance I realize it supposed to read separately. Maybe if the "Please join us.." and the "affirms her faith..." are moved closer to the name? Also, the spacing between words within the date is a bit much. I see what you're trying to do by justifying the text on both sides, but it's a little awkward. Hopefully that all makes sense. -xo, kristen

I like your sweet church illustration, but do think the text could be played with a bit more. For me with all the black text the same size, color and all caps it all blends together making nothing stand out. Have you played with mixing all caps with lower case or italics? Maybe increasing the leading a bit. For the heading confirmation maybe sizing down slightly and increasing the tracking?
