Extremely sweet design! Yes unfortunately the pattern make the text harder to read. Maybe you should change the color of the pattern to something lighter. Those doughnuts though! Yum.

Yum indeed! The pattern does make the text a bit hard to read, but I like it overall. Possibly reduce the pattern behind the text so it remains around the edges. I think the pattern adds to the festive nature so I'd hate to see you remove it completely.
