Thank you everyone for the suggestions :) Te leaf still has presence but I cropped out the stem and it is less distracting.

I love the black and white with selective color faded in the leaf, what do you think?

These are both interesting in their own way. I like the subtlety of the color in B.

I like them both very much and think both are great! I chose Option A purely subjectively. Perhaps adjust the crop either to eliminate the stem or include the stem? To me the sliver of stem is a tiny bit distracting.
