About the Design

comments from Margaret:

My paintings focus on the mixing of colors. Often I pick opposites which I then work to bring the colors into abstract harmony. I love all things bright and vibrant.

I like words! :) I think that while a work can and should be interpreted by the viewer, it can be incredibly helpful and sometimes even offer another perspective if you can convey an emotion in the title. Personally, I consider titles quite important, like the cherry atop the sundae. :) Great question!

Personally I do not find the title important at all. I like what I like and a title cannot make me change my emotions

Hi Margaret, A title [I believe] is a very important element to your work of art. It can be an expression of how you see/feel about the piece. Consider the visual response you would like to evoke. Best of luck to you!!! BTW-great question

Good question about title. I think most voters aren't reading the title, but having a fun or provocative title never hurts. For me, the title is more personal--some pieces I care a lot about it and think hard about what I'm trying to express in the pieces and other times it's just more organizational.
