Thank you all for your help! I am thrilled at how much better it looks now thanks to all your advice! I have tried reducing the font even more but am not comfortable with the composition when I do that. I have reduced certain elements slightly though!
Thank you Oma and Lynette for your patience and help! I see what you were saying (I hope!) I couldn't alter to the original to a point where i was happy with the font size AND the composition so I decided to start again and go with a square layout instead! Am I any closer? Thank you again, it really is appreciated!!
Great job Jo! It really works better in a square format. My only suggestion this time would be to lose the yellow. I definitely preferred the greyish black you originally had. Remember you don't have to change anything you don't want to. You can ask for extra input for other artists to make sure. And don't ever hesitate to ask for advice. :)
Hi Jo, I really like the square layout and I don't mind the yellow but I think I also prefer the grey as it is much calmer. Sometimes a design can drive me almost insane as there are so many possibilities & and after a while it is hard to have any perspective but with this one I think you are there. PS I love the idea of Marriageville!
Hi Jo! Welcome to Minted! I know you've had a few suggestions to go smaller, but I am going to add to it and encourage you to set your type smaller still! See how you have some nice space on the left and right side of your text before the border starts? I would suggest trying to have a similar amount of space at the top and the bottom. When the text starts getting so close to the border, it makes the design feel really squished (even though you have nice spacing within your text!). Best of luck to you!
Thank you for the welcome Kampai Designs and for your feedback!! I have taken your advice and reduced some of the font sizes! Is this a little better? Thank you again!!
Kampai Designs gave you great advice - looks good! Welcome to Minted and good luck!
Hi Jo, Lynette did give you great advice but I think she meant for you to go alot smaller still. A great guide would be to look at some of the wedding invitations that are already for sale at Minted. Minted customers seem to prefer smaller text.
It looks much better but Oma is right, I would go a bit smaller still. PS Oma gives great advice!
This is my first time enetering a challenge so any and all feedback is more than greatly received :) Thank you! Jo
Hi Jo, welcome to Minted! You are off to a great start. I would just think about reducing the size of some of the font so that you have a bit of white space (or duck egg blue space in this case!) Good luck!
