comments from Phyllis:

I used classic vintage Parisian posters as my inspiration for Claudette's shower invitation. I knew she wanted something Art Deco inspired, but I also didn't want it to look dated. Strong colors with a mix old and new typefaces give this shower invite a nice punch!

This is really pretty. I love the Art Nouveux elements. I am not sure it needs the Eiffel Tower. It doesn't detract here, necessarily, but if someone wanted to use this design without the tower, it would certainly stand on its own.

I agree with Alex - I could actually do without the Tower. The rest of the invite is so lovely and interesting that it isn't needed. I really love the plum - that's my favorite jewel tone!

Thanks for the feedback =)! I took off the Tower and you're right, the design stands quite well on its own.

I think the purple is great - not sold on the cream border

This is one of my favorites. It has a great vintage feel which I love.

My favorite element is the subtle assymetrical motifs on the bottom. for this couple, i see how the violet color is meaningful to them with the venue named Violette. Would you consider offering other color palettes for a border audience? And perhaps another script type font for the bride's name to match the romantic motifs?

Love the border decoration... er, the lower corners. (sorry for lack of technical terms) The colors are very nice, and the mix of fonts allow it to retain class and style while looking modern and up-to-date. :)
