Which do you prefer, the triangle or the flag layout?

This is cute. Do you think there are any copyright issues though?

This is so clever. I like the flag layout better. it seems more balanced with the letters, since they have the number at the bottom and are therefore wider down there.

@Kelly, Thanks for the question, you bring up a very valid point I had not considered. I dug around and did a bit of research concerning copyright & trademark law. Based on what I have been able to find, any legal issue would be if I were using the name "Scrabble" in my design, using a trademarked typeface, or using their logo. All other legal issues seem to only apply to derivative boardgames or online games. The type used (Arial) is not their trademarked typeface, the colors used were eyeballed, not based on any corporate swatches, and the pattern, though inspired by, very loosely resembles the actual Scrabble board (notice there is no type or zig-zag borders). Clearly the game Scrabble inspired my design, but the big question is whether or not they have trademarked placing small numbers right of a letter. It would be up to the Minted legal team to weigh the risks. ....I will cross my fingers & hope it is not an issue :)

I think this current version works a lot better, especially when it comes to the letter flags. Nice job and good luck! :)

Jessie, this is great. I thin kit may pop even more if the A panel were one of the blue shades. Just a thought.

@Jessie I'm sure if selected, Minted would be able to help figure out if any issues are involved. I just know some big companies can be real sticklers about anything that even resembles their product. Hopefully that wont be the case since this is so darn cute.

I like the flag version better- it feels more balanced. I feel like an outline around the letter flags would add more color and feel more like a party. Good work!
