About the Design

comments from Jill:

This vintage style Save the Date card features bunches of abstract flowers in various colors reminiscent of the 1950s. Gold foil touches add an element of elegance to this elegant design.

Thoughts on colors and composition? Do you think it would look better with more flowers on the border? Is the yellow overpowering? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks so much!

I think this is really pretty. I'd scrap the background and swap it out for the Kraft paper. I think it would look really pretty on that and still give the same color composition you're going for. It will just lighten it up some. I like your typesetting but maybe you could give a little more air and space under the names.

Thanks so much for the feedback, Kate. Now that you point it out, I completely agree that more space looks better under the names. I had tried the kraft paper as the background originally, but found it too light for the green and cream lettering as well as some of the foil accents. See attached. But, maybe I can try darkening the green so there's more contrast... or even using that dark coral color (although, I don't know if that will be too feminine). Thank you again.
