this is a tough one cause I liked the leaves before. I dig less leaves but I liked how some were cut off before at the edges. I love the name Autumn wine & dine and the change in typography! I would love seeing it in 3-4 different background colors. Maybe a deep red background or maybe an orange, or a greenish color. I think the leaves would like nice on many background colors. Anyway, nice work!

I like the leaves, have a very vintage feel to them, but it feels like to much of a good thing. I'd lose all the ones around the copy to give it some breathing room. You might even consider taking away a few at the top around the edges to make more interesting negative space, maybe even space them farther away from each other or reduce the amount to exaggerate the random falling.

I agree with Carol's comments on removing some more leaves. I think the two text blocks could also be brought closer together.

Hi Wendy, I noticed you changed the font-I like it...much more "holiday gathering" looking and less wedding invite. I saw your comment in the forum and I don't think you need any sort of border. Sometimes less is more. It does, however look like the futura font is getting stretched and doesn't look right. I would make sure you're horizontal tracking is set to 100%. Maybe you stack Holiday Gathering and make it a dark brown so it stands out a bit more(?).

I do like this font (for the title and names) a lot better!!! I would consider bumping up the size of the rest of the type and trying it in a wider font like futura (or another wider sans serif). Great changes to the leaves - this looks a lot more balanced - good work!

I agree that maybe some other fonts, could work better, Wendy - but I'm at a loss at to which to recommend at the moment. The design seems a little unbalanced right now - heavier on top. I'm not sure if less leaves is the answer, or if different font choices or type layout could fix it... Maybe, instead of all the leaves falling, you could do a landscape layout with leaves blowing across the invitation? Something to think about...

Oh, duh, Kim you're right! I feel like maybe I should use a more modern script. What'd ya think?

I think you're right that Holiday Gathering could be a bit larger. With those long glyphs in the y and g's, the date seems pretty close to "Holiday Gathering". I would like to see that entire copy area (from Saturday on down) moved much lower. Maybe it's separated by a small leaf?

So much better - great changes, Wendy! Those leaves are so wonderful. THis may just be one of my pet peeves, but I'd rather see the Bickham with a value of "0" on the tracking, so the letters all touch since it is a script font. Good luck!

I do not think is needed. I would take it out and try and make the leaves falling a little more organic and free falling rather than boxed in at the top. I think you are right to use a vertical layout and can make this into something really great!

Your painted leaves are gorgeous Wendy! I do agree with Kerri on the heading and more falling leaves. The type "Holiday Gathering" doesn't really flow well with the simple elegance of the invite. I would change the intro to "Please join us for" and make "Cocktails and Appetizers" larger (or maybe Holiday Gathering replaces the cocktail tpye). This is lovely and I think you've really got something here with some minor tweeks.

I don't think it needs holiday gathering. the leaves are so great that they convey the message by themselves. The other typography looks great!
