So, after receiving a few comments suggesting a pop of color, I've developed the following variations to my original design. I've submitted Merlot. Creme de Menthe and Espresso colorways are shown attached to this comment. With the added color, the background color is limited in order to achieve the contrast between it and the white and green required for visibility. Would love to have some feedback on whether the original white silhouette on colored background (Version 11) is preferred to this version or vice versa. THANKS so much!!!! 7-13-2012 Added Midnight (navy blue) colorway to comment.

i like the depth the new color tone and breaking up the mistletoe adds. Really lends itself to the sophistication, Kim!

Since i feel like i should give some alternate input still : )---One other thing to try (or maybe create a different version so you don't lose this lovely mistletoe?) Have you played with eliminating the mistletoe, moving up the glass and text and then, instead of an olive and pick, maybe try a single striped peppermint stick? Not a hooked candy cane, but just a simple straight stick leaning at the same angle in front of the glass? It would be fun to see this simple clean space--grounded by the merlot color, with a pop of bright red peppermint stripe against the glass.

Kim! When I received your comment about input, I would have never guessed at how beautifully this has come together. In all honesty, i think the proportions, layout and type are lovely and well balanced. I don't really know what can be adjusted to improve this. I would love to send it ; ) I also think you should keep the cranberry tone colorway or stay in the red family.

The spacing looks good, but now (don't kill me) I kind of want to see a tiny pop of color. Maybe the ribbon could be light red? It might just be me so please feel free to ignore!

Thank you so much for looking, again, Olivia - I really appreciate your feedback! Originally, I had everything colored, but decided to do a white silhouette so that it would work in any color. I will continue to contemplate...

Love it! I do agree with Olivia, I think a pop of colour would look really interesting, maybe as an option? I could see the olive with just a small pop of red? Just a thought :)

I agree with maybe adding a pop of color! I would think maybe "cocktail party" though not the ribbon...could add a good separation between image & info

I uploaded a new version at the same time you were commenting, Olivia! I was second-guessing how far I had moved the mistletoe (3/16") and nudged it 1/16" back up. But, it's still 1/8" lower than in Version 6. Thanks so much!! :)

oh, one more really picky thing...I'd use an n-dash or tighten up the kerning between your hyphen as well. Seems to fall away.

Thanks for your critiques, Carol! The string and stem were actually lined up, but were different line weights which maybe caused an illusion that they weren't? I've increased the line weight of the string to match the stem. I've adjusted the kerning in "cocktail" - better? Thanks!!

Kim, love the clean approach and line weights are working well! Couple of things I would tweak: the glass stem and string feel like they should line up vertically and I would tighten up your kerning, especially around the COC, before the A and after the T.
