About the Design

comments from Katrina:

This is a black and white photo art piece of the California Big Sur coastline. Simple, nostalgic, and elegant - a perfect addition to add drama to a blank wall!

Hello! I was wondering which version seemed more appropriate: the first, which is a classic black and white photo, or the second, which has a painterly effect added to it. Thanks for your input!

B feels a bit more artistic to me. I like the way the landscape feature pop. A is more of a total composition and is also nice. It was a difficult choice, but overall I feel like B has the most merit.

A. This is tough but I like the mid tones in the water and sky better in this option.

I chose A because the contrast is more subtle and goes well with the mood of the photograph. Good luck!

It seems like B is starting to loose details in the white areas... So I prefer A

A. The water is too shiny to me in B.

I like the contrast of option A better; you can see more detail in the waves. Really nice!

Version A captures more of the lovely detail and texture of the photo.
