I like the simpler resolution of A, maybe you could make "happy 2017" the top copy and work the sailing analogy into the bottom text? Just to simplify it a bit (ie., Going to sail into new adventures) …something like that?

A for me, I don't think you need the corner details. Its hard to tell but I think "looking forward to" is not centered it looks bit to the left to me. Really nice color palette so bright and cheerful!
