Alternate colorway example, emerald green :)
I think I've settled on the red (with the bright emerald green as a second), but have heard some debate on the spacing between lettering and photo. Polling for spacing here: A lot, a little, or none :) Thanks!
I voted A, but you cannot have editable text that far down. If you look at the template, there's a guide that says no editable text past here, or some such. It looks (to me) from your proofs that the editable text (family name) is in that area.
Hmmmm... this is so hard! I'm picking B because it eats into the space for the photo the least. I don't know how I feel about the white on top and for me that often translates into meaning I can live without it. :)
I like the clean line on B.
B is lovely!
I voted for B.
I like it without space. But the name is to low. Maybe bleed red off bottom and reverse and move name up so it doesn't get cut off. B
i like C but i love the shade of green in B too! go with your gut on this one... it's beautiful either way :)
I like C
D. Love the blue.
I pick D! and then B.
oh my goodness, these look amazing! I still love the red on C.
C. But these are all so lovely! There's no bad option here. :)
C: so festive & cheery :)
It looks good in all the colors, which is a great thing, but I chose the red. It's Christmassy, and it picks up on bits of red in the photo.
I love the blue with this photo but the red is a very close second. I might also try bringing the color closer to the photo so there's no white space above it - This would make more room for the name at the bottom and I think it would help the design feel not so broken up.
These are all great colours! I opt for D, follow by B.
I am between B or C but prefer B better.. I would try to extend the background/photo so there will be no white space between.. just the white space on the family name.. =D
I voted for B, but A is another good choice. My eye was just drawn more to B with the greenery framing out the people.
Love love love C.
A for me... B second. :)
I voted for A.
Chose C, minted requested more diversity.
I like A, followed by C! :)
I voted A, but like C next.
Option C was my first choice, followed by A. Love the changes, Julie!
Option A--the photo doesn't look like it was forced to fit in the space.
I voted A. I think it's the best depth to go with the design. C is far too close up an B just has a touch too much empty space in the photo.
Great hand lettering! Love photo C but I'm not too crazy over the color but would try something in the line of emerald green.
B for me!
My first instinct is A so I'm gonna go with that. They all look great though. I might also consider bringing the red to the edge of the photo and removing the white dividing space. This might also leave more room for white at the bottom to give your name text a bit of breathing room - it feels a bit cramped down there.
Voted B, the warm tone of the watercolor goes well with the photo scene.
Very pretty. I think the softness of the photo in B works nicely, but they're all good (which is a good thing!) :)
I love the update, Julie! B is my favorite photo, but these all work well! :)
I picked A! for the photo distance overall.. I think colour wise (of the photos) is not there yet.. I might find more photos with similar distance as A, but closer colour to your work ;) Just my idea.
i like A :)
I like C!
Polling for layout and color choice! Thanks! :)
Nice! I like the layout and color choice of B. I wonder what if would look like to add some white space between the photo and the text area like in option A?
B. I love how the lettering fills the space, and the color really lets it stand out. I like Kimberly's suggestion to add a bit of white space between the text and photo, too. :)
Definitely B for me! And I agree with Kimberly and Naomi about the white space between the text and the photo. Love the lettering! :)
One other thought for B, maybe a family photo that spreads across the horizontal frame a bit more? I think this photo is great for A but I can think of a few photos I've seen that would work really well with B where the family is spread across the space more. I know we all have different sets of photos though.
A is pretty but B feels more festive.
love the way the script fills the box. makes this design stand out. b.
B is so fun and fresh.
One tiny detail I would slightly adjust the crop of the photo so the little red dot/ball isn't showing by the little girls sock/shoe. It looks like a flaw in the top of your E in everything.
B: I agree with everyone on how well the lettering fills out the space & really lets it shine. Also agree on trying out some white space between the photo and lettering :)
