Thanks for the nice comments, and thanks for that link, Olivia! Is this enough? I don't want it to be too dark and overwhelm the rest of the illustration. Does it need to be darker? Feedback appreciated!

Ok, I had one more thought: how about some sort of very subtle shadow beneath the box so it's a bit more grounded?

Oh, cool concept! I kind of want the letters to have some movement to them (so they feel like they're jumping out of the box). Or maybe leave as is, and do some sort of delicate confetti-type graphics around them?

I think this is great, Kim! I am a simple girl, but I agree with olivia about maybe some bits of confetti filler paper coming out of the box or something to give it some whimsy and movement. Not tacky or anything like that - just a couple of swirls. But great concept!!
