Between C and D but leaning more toward C where the awesome boat stands out.

I like C and D, but the gray distress on the background makes it look a little dirty, maybe try without it?

I would say, Yes. I would recommend eliminate the background design for a solid color or just plain white. But in overall, I like your drawing style! Great work.

I would agree with Mayreni, the sky pattern detracts from the composition, I would go simple with a solid color and let the illustrations speak from themselves.

Maybe simplify the sky by taking out the blue vertical patterns...also try a version with no type...I agree, this piece is beautiful!
