I like A better! I'd consider choosing a last name that fits the space a little better, though... seems too close to the edge of the boat. Also, it's hard for me to tell if you've done this, but you want to avoid stretching the customizable text (birth stats) - it should be just written on a curved path. You might be fine, I just thought I'd mention it!

Thank you so much for all of the great help! I think this is getting close; I'm just deciding whether or not to put the proud parent section in under the boat. Thanks!

I voted for D. I prefer the name at the bottom as it makes it stand out more. I might just bump the size down a few points for baby's name as there will be people with longer names. You have room, so have you tried putting "proud parents" in a sans serif like the boat, below baby's name?

Very cute! I chose B because I like the simplicity of the design with the cute illustration.

I'm voting B - I like the simpler layout. I think the illustration goes well with this photo. As a suggestion, have you thought about maybe trying a version where "ahoy there" is in the boat and the name on the bottom instead?

Carrie, this is a super cute idea! I think the simplicity of A and B (minus the extra frame line on A and water line on B) work better than C, but the name and Ahoy there don't totally feel like they're working with the space. Maybe make Ahoy there larger to really own the wave space, and keep the name all 1 cap height, centered in the boat vertically and horizontally with a bit tighter line spacing? You could also try Ahoy there and maybe the date in a more sailor-y font like Pacific Northwest?

B, I like simplicity and I really like it without the border. Very cute!
