Should I tone down the contrast of the blue sky?

I would...seems like the softer tones do better here on Minted:) Composition is very appealing:)

I think it would be interesting to see the blues a little softer and more subtle; your blue in the upper right corner and across the top is a pretty stark contrast to your sand. But I agree, the composition is nice!

I like the saturation, personally!

I like the high saturation in this photo. the high sky seems to balance out well with the extreme track lines in lower left.

One of my photos of the sand dunes I was hesitant on with the contrast but it really stood out and so I kept it. It actually was chosen by an editors award. So soft colors do get picked a bit more but some times those one photos with beautiful contrast stand out too. I actually like the contrast on this photo. The waves stand out too. Maybe if it was toned down a tiny bit but really if it was me I feel like I would have done the same! Don't know if that helps! =)

I personally this shade of blue; however, I am not sure it fits with the beach in terms of the photograph as a whole. You might try using "auto-tone" (or something of that type) in your photo program to see what variations look like. Hold on to your original though!

I also think the contrast between the red sand and that electric blue is a bit too strong.
