I made the change to the traditional red and gold. (This was my first choice), but my Chinese fiancé doesn't like anything that is common! If it is a winning design, different colorways can be offered. :)

Hi! The design is great, I also love the font and the Chinese character, the handwriting is beautiful! Just a comment from the perspective of the Chinese culture (yeah I'm Chinese ;-)) Normally the wedding invitations (and everything else in the wedding business as well) should have their main part and color in red, so maybe you could directly turn the black into red and it will suit perfectly! By the way, I thought I have to tell you this, because in China, black (and white) is used for funerals.
