Does there need to be a joining word between the names or is the gigantic ampersand sufficient?

I think it's sufficient! However I feel that the number 9 should be treated a little differently. Maybe in black, instead of the lilac. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I think the lilac color is sweet but maybe the black text is to heavy for it. Have you tried the text in a dark lilac or a medium to dark grey? I like the the big &.

could you have made this a poll? i would say ampersand is definitely sufficient.

I agree with Mansi about the treatment of the "9th". It feels like it competes with the ampersand, which is a great statement on its own. I also agree with Laura about the heaviness of the black. Maybe try an 80% gray or something to give it a lighter touch. Nicely done!
