Is the background pattern too distracting? Also should the type be more adventurous?

I don't find the background distracting at all I think its beautiful! My only suggestion is maybe using larger size font, as there is a lot of negative space around the text Or you could try centring the text - it might make it seem like there is less white space around the font.

I like the background! I would just centre the text..

I like the background too. For this design, I would also see what it looks like to use the script for "and." It may look better when centered, but right now, I feel like it's ill-placed. I would also enlarge "The Biltmore Estate" so that it stands out more, but still remains connected with the address.

I love the background as is! I too would try centering the text and even play around with different fonts and font sizes. The background to me feels more modern, but the text feels more traditional - I wonder what it would look like with more modern sans serif fonts, or maybe if the font were black instead of burgundy?

I think you've done a lovely job with the background. I do feel like the color of the text distracts from it a little bit, and I'd center the text and bring it in from the edges of the white box to give everything a little more breathing room. Nice work!
