comments from Natalie:

I’ve never been to San Francisco. So, after many virtual walks around Jackson Square on Google Maps streetview :), I settled on a modern style illustration reflecting all that goes on inside 747; whilst fitting in with its historic surrounds. I wondered what Minted would look like if it were a store on Front St., with pretty store windows showcasing all of their wares. ***On a side note :): I downloaded and read the submission kit and did not see the ‘not related to Minted’ part until I went to the ‘submit your design’ section (yep…nearly cried). So my original concept and design did feature Minted (please see first submission). I have slightly amended for the final submission, but my original vision was to bring Minted to life as a physical storefront.

This is really nicely done, Natalie! And they updated the guidelines, so I think a lot of people were confused. You're not alone! If you do decide you want to make it even less "Minted," you could think about swapping out the Minted green for another color. Just something to consider. Good luck!

Beautiful contrast and use of minimal color!! The overall drawing is masterful and I'm utterly blown away by this overall design!
