i like the structured layout you have going on, but the only thing that stands out is the "happy holidays" on the side. the gray box isn't doing much and the text is even a bit hard to read- you might try just making the greeting smaller and putting it above the heart for instance, it might be a bit more visually pleasing

I agree with Andrea, it would help make everything more cohesive. If you can, adjust the main photo so you're not chopping off the husband's head.

Thanks for the comments. I have reworked the layout it to make it a little more interesting. As for the photo, I didn't take or crop this picture. It is the photo submitted to all the designers for this challenge as it was given to us, I didn't crop it in any way so there is no way for me to fix that issue.
