About the Design

comments from Susan:

Using the structural decor of the Eiffel Tower which symbolizes Claudette and Justin's French heritage and engagement, this invitation is classy, elegant, and rich in color. The turtle doves above the Eiffel Tower are an emblem of devoted love because they are known to form strong pair bonds, like Claudette and Justin, who have made it through many obstacles.

Awww! I don't think Justin's seen this one yet, but he will be happy with the turtle doves for sure. Cute!

Cute! I like the colors - very warm and glowing. The semi-grunge background adds a nice touch so that it's not flat. Well balanced (like a nutritious breakfast) and very nice indeed - especially with the birds highlighted at the top :) Good job!

I really like what you going on with this card. A couple suggestions: The top is really bold and probably my favorite part of the design, but I think the bottom also needs a strong element to balance it out a little. Perhaps add a thin black strip to the bottom edge so it ties in with the arch a little more. Also fix the date so it has a day of the month since these events usually do not last a whole month. (And you have a spelling error).

Alex - thank you so much for your constructive criticism! I think the thin black strip really helps. And of course, thanks for catching my spelling error :-)
