Good afternoon fellow Minted artists! I was wondering if I could get a critique on my design here? I am still up in the air about the font, background color, and if I should add a children's name to customize? Thank you!

Hi Kirsten, great illustration. I think this would look great with a clean white background. Maybe a poll?

Thanks Oma! I will try that! I was also thinking about making a large white border and making the blue a bit lighter... But I think a poll would work better lol :)

I think it's really sweet! I love the colors for a children's room. However, I would try to use my darkest color to remove the black and maybe the darkest brown is too dark? Why? I think it's good to reduce the amount of colors when possible. I can't see having black on one place only. Or if you have to have it as the eyes, maybe knock the dark brown back a bit.

Thank you so much Carolyn! I like the idea of making the eyes brown. I will have to play with this a bit tomorrow, but I see that being a bit more inviting and warm than the black eyes. :)

The illustration is adorable. I think the background color is really distracting. Maybe try a pale yellow or cream color? The font doesn't bother me, although the "E" looks smaller than the rest of the font? Is it all the same point size? If so you might need to adjust manually. Not sure about adding a name that might be something for a poll :) Great job!

Thanks a lot Michelle! Yeah that font is kind of crazy looking... It says it's the same size, yet the V looks a lot bigger and the E looks smaller haha. I'm definitely going to go back and see what backgrounds would look awesome; I like the cream color idea!! Thanks so much for your great ideas! :)
