Can this work for adults or is it more fitting for children?

I see this more as a children's design. I do like the background though. Maybe try incorporating that into another design?

It can def be for a young boy but I also think there's a niche market for older guys. Usually comic book fans are life long and hardcore. I would recommend, if you can, to stretch out some of the points in your splat icon so it looks a little more natural and not so uniform. Hope that makes sense. Very cool concept.

I think it definitely could work for adults... à la Roy Lichtenstein, and agree with Kate's comment :)

I definitely think an adult guy would use this - especially with the popularity of superheroes/comic books nowadays!

Love this retro look! I think it would appeal to men who are into comics. Agree with Kate on making the star points irregular.
