About the Design

comments from Amy:

I was inspired by the couple's wish to live near the beach (I grew up in another SoCal beach town) and thought using a sea creature who moves would be fitting.

i don't think you need the shell pattern in the background, its taking away from the type

Took out background...it was too much. But now this seems a little plain. Thoughts?

i can't remember....did you have the shell pattern behind the crabs or in the blue area before? what if you put the pattern in the blue area really subtly and made the type darker or even reversed out? i really liked the shells.

Ok, I decided to put a pattern back in. This time something I could make smaller and less competitive with type but still visible. I think this pattern works better than the other one. Question...I've always done type at 12pt based on standards but for these invites, can you get away with 14pt? Obviously main lines are larger but for the info, just curious.
