Is the design too large for a yard of fabric?

I am quite fond of the larger print, and it really is up to you. There's no wrong or right :)

I like the larger print. I think the dinosauers would get lost if the print was too small.

I love large prints and I think this works really well.

It depends on what it's used for.

It's definitely a large scale print, but it looks like it would work well in a kids room. The shapes are clean and simple, which keeps the design from being overwhelming in a large size.

I love the large prints. Would be great for pillows! The colors work well together too.

It's really up to you Sara . . . large print would make great curtains etc. and small print would work better with throw pillows because you would want more surface pattern on those. It's really up to you . . . but it's a gorgeous pattern either way! :)

They have to be large, because they are dinosaurs =) I think that the scaling is good.

hi, Sarah...I love your design and I believe it definitely has good balance for a yard of fabric usage!

The pattern might be a bit too large, but it depends on what you're going for. I think the dark purple really stands out against the other colors you've chosen and might over power them a bit, it would be interesting to see some color variants of this pattern where the dinosaurs are bold colors and the background shapes are lighter.

If you did take it down smaller I would suggest trying a 'tossed repeat' of the dinosaurs, adding a few more different orientations / scales - thinking that a kid (I would have been this kid!) would love to look for different directions they're traveling and find lots to look at. It could also work well as a great floor play mat at either scale. Either way I love it and the colors!

I think your zoomed in picture option is a great scale for an euro pillow cover, or even for a tote bag! If that scale is true to size with a yard of fabric I think it is fun and looks great!

I think it's cute the way it is! I love how you've managed to work the dinosaurs so organically into a classy pattern.

This is such a fun design. I like the colors and the shapes. I would decrease the size by half. It might be helpful to print a piece out full scale to see how big it would be. Your triceratops is probably around 8 inches long.
