About the Design

comments from Alaina:

I originally created this as a poster for teachers to hang in their classroom but realized it would be great for the cover of a notebook. a popular teacher's quote revamped and modernized. would also work well as "a mother's prayer".

I know so many teachers who would love to receive this as a gift! I must confess there is one thing bothering me: the sudesta font. I feel like it's too much of a contrast to the rest of the type that is so clean. Lately I've been using marketing script as an accent font with bold sans-serif text. Font squirrel has added several good retro-type scripts lately (that are free, of course)! As always, this is just my opinion :)

Amen! Love the prayer and the arrangement/ stacking of words. "But most important" part is kinda hard to read.

What a great teacher's gift. This would be beautiful in so many colors!! My only suggestion is to pull back the boldness of the while diagonal lines, perhaps by lowering the transparency or the weight of the lines.

I really, really love this. It's hard to find a cool teacher gift like this! Nicely done. I can't wait to buy this one.

one other nit-picky suggestion. On the "But most important"...did you try with a lowercase "b" on "But". It might be easier to read.

very, very nice! i have this issue with sudestada as well... it's not the easiest to stack. it looks very natural in the 'to express their' part, though. i guess those wild ascenders and descenders just need room to breathe!
