comments from Dan:

This abstract photograph was captured during the morning "golden hour" and features an intense, natural blue sky contrasted with white architectural plaster and both colors delineated by a sensual curve.

Hi Dan. I love this shot for a lot of reasons. Architecturally it is very interesting. Though I don't have the whole environment in the image and can't actually tell what you are photographing or what the size is, I imagine that it is some sort of architecturally-interesting building. At least that's what I am picturing in my head. Your composition is wonderful. It really gives you a sense of the negative space (in this case the sky). The color and WB are perfect. That white is spot on and that sky is a fantastic tone too. My personal obsession with details and composition leads me to only find one thing that I would change (please don't though). I have this strange need for things to be perfectly placed in the corners... if this were my image I would tilt it ever so slightly to get the lines between the blue and white, perfectly centered into the corners. Thats just me though, please don't change it. It is just something that my eye notices immediately. Love this!!! Snap on!

Hi Dan, I agree with Jill on everything except possibly the line placement in the corners. I also used to have the same proclivity towards placing things perfectly in corners, but for whatever reason I now shy away from it. I think it to some extent the best aesthetic choice varies from image to image, and of course there is always some subjectivity involved as well. I can definitely see Jill's point about dividing the image perfectly in half, though, if that is what you are going for. I think it would look good either way.
