About the Design

comments from John:

My design uses the proverbial silver baby spoon. I've added an initial cap on the handle, which hopefully be changed dynamically in the by the customer. I also have a blue ribbon version for boys, but I thought that would be considered a "multiple colorway." Also, the spoon could be printed in a silver-metallic ink.

I don't think there is enough contrast between the size of the spoon and the size of the baby in the photo. I think the baby should be the main focus and the large spoon greatly distracts you from the photo.

Personally I like it. It is refreshing to see something different than all the swirly designs out there (not that they are bad, just ubiquitous). This is a great nod to midcentury modern design. Great job!

I think this is just adorable and a lot of fun. Your spoon illustration is superb. I hear what Andy is saying about the scale of the spoon. Although the design would also look good with a smaller spoon, the monogram might get lost so I'm torn. Either way, great work :o)

i love the spoon...but agree it is competing with the baby. i would play around with it. even blowing up the image of the baby and cropping it different would help.
